Our customized therapy programs help children with developmental, social, language and physical disabilities develop the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.

What is a Therapy Intensive?

Therapy Intensives group children together based on age, diagnosis, current capability, and developmental need. Dedicated therapists work with the group and with each individual child toward their specific goals. These therapists specialize in Physical, Occupational, Speech, Music, Art, and Behavior and work together to maximize the growth of each child.

Who is this program for?

Families with children with diagnosed developmental disabilities, such as

  • Autism, all levels of ASD
  • Down Syndrome and other cognitive impairments
  • Physical (Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, other)
  • Assistive Augmentative Communications Needs (AAC)
  • Other severe and profound disabilities
  • Developmental disability with severe behavioral needs

*This program is not for children diagnosed with emotional or affect disorder.

How do I participate?

  1. Contact Therapies for Hope to determine eligibility
  2. Participate in a family interview with a trained Therapies for Hope therapist
  3. Therapies for Hope will provide information on the Intensive most appropriate for your family
  4. Complete the application packet for the therapy child & siblings

What happens after the Therapy Program?

After an Intensive is complete, Therapies for Hope will work with families and their in-home and school-based therapists to share a therapy report which contains results and recommendations to ensure there is a common understanding of the most appropriate goals and strategies for each therapy child. This collaborative team will continue to work together to track progress over the long term for the therapy child and their family.
