Therapy Intensive days are carefully designed to maximize time for each therapy child to meet with specialized therapists who coordinate to focus on that child’s goals – both one on one and with their group.

Closing Group
Enrichment activities may be offered after the Therapy Intensive based on family need. These enrichment activities could include structured play, music and movement, story time, arts and crafts, and sensory opportunities.
Opening Music Circle
Opening Circle will be tailored to fit the needs of the group of children as appropriate dependent on age and/or function level.
Individual Therapy
Once Music Circle finishes, children will participate in individual 1:1 therapy with each therapist to work on their pre-established goals. Every therapist is licensed and certified in their specific area of expertise and work as an interprofessional team, focusing on integrated competencies. Individual sessions might work on abilities that improve functional activities such as mealtime, toileting, and play where gross + fine+ communication skills are all needed together.
Physical Therapy
Therapy may focus on walking or wheelchair mobility, coordination or strengthening to improve participation in daily movement at home, school, and/or the community.
Speech Therapy
Therapy will focus on improving verbal and non-verbal communication to support connecting with peers and their community.
Occupational Therapy
Therapy focuses on increasing independence in functional activities of daily life. These may address fine motor manipulation, eye–hand coordination for play and school; basic self-care skills such as dressing, hygiene, and self-feeding; and social and coping skills.
Music Therapy
Music is used to support movement, coordination, communication, and peer interaction. Certified music therapists use a variety of songs and instruments to engage the child, individually and in groups.
Snack & Lunch
All therapists collaborate to support the children during mealtimes encouraging the child during the meal facilitating communication, posture, management of food containers, interaction with peers.
Closing Music Circle
The day ends with a group activity that reinforces the children’s goals.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy uses the creative process to support movement, fine motor control, expression, and peer interactions. Therapists use a variety of textures and materials to help children communicate ideas.
Recreational Therapy
Recreation Therapy exposes children to leisure time activities that support both self-entertainment and group/family participation.
Behavior Therapy / Support
Behavior Therapists use strategies to strengthen desired behaviors and to inhibit undesirable behaviors to improve participation in home, school, or play activities.
Activities
Each group will participate in 1-5 activities throughout the therapy day. Activities are selected depending on the needs of the group. They may include a scavenger hunt, art/craft projects, obstacle courses, yoga, board games, cooking, swimming to name a few.
