We work with the whole family: ‘Intensives’ for your special needs child, plus recreation and education for the siblings and family.

Siblings

Siblings of therapy children may participate in activities while their brother/sister receives therapy. In addition to activities, the Siblings will join group discussions focused on the various joys and struggles of having a sibling with special needs and how it impacts them and their family.

Therapies for Hope collaborates with community organizations, such as Rocky Mountain Sibs, to create sibling programs that address the needs of the entire family.

Families

Our goal is to provide hope and a pathway to success for all families with special needs children. We will connect Therapies for Hope families with organizations that can provide funding, coordinated care and education to help therapy children participate to their fullest extent in their community.

During the Therapy Intensive week the Therapy Team will create both a video and written report for the family that includes:

  • Specific therapy goals
  • Therapists’ interventions and strategies that helped their child achieve goals
  • Therapy child’s progress and results
  • Recommendations going forward

At the end of the Therapy Intensive week each family will meet with their child’s Therapy Team to review the report.

Therapies for Hope coordinates sharing of the report and its findings with the Therapy child’s in-home and school-based therapists, special education and medical teams.
